1995 to 2004

Data Analysis Australia was contracted by the Office of Road Safety (ORS) to produce a report detailing information on road crashes for the ten-year period from 1 January 1995 to 31 December 2004.

The main purpose of the report is to provide the detailed statistics needed by road safety agencies to develop strategies for reducing road trauma and to measure changes over time. As such, it is not designed to be read as a whole; instead the information from individual sections is expected to be used as needed.

Detailed crash statistics for different geographic levels are provided below.

Road safety action will bring much needed reprieve to road trauma in WA
The Road Safety Council has welcomed the announcement by the Government in committing Road Trauma Trust Account funding for 12/13 to road safety priority improvement areas. Read the full release here.

67 deaths as at 15 May 2012.
Approximately 1,056 serious injuries to date.
